Xmichra was right...

Today turned out pretty crappy and it would have found me anywhere. This evening about 6:40 PM there was a knock on my door. A friend of mine TR stopped by to inform me that my oldest and dearest friend, SRG's Mother was taken off of her respirater this evening. My heart sank. When someone passes away there are always good things to say about them no matter what they were like. In this case it will all be true. Marilyn Reese was the sweetest and kindest person I had ever met. Polite, cheerful, and well mannered at all times. She would send me spiritual uplifting e-mails that would always cheer me up or give me strength to carry on. A finer woman never lived. My heart is just so heavy for my friend. I could hardly call the rest of my family and let them know. The world is definitely a lesser place without her. I will miss her greatly and I pray for my friend and his family. Bless them all and take care of them.

Here is a new friend of mine, Buddess from over at She is from South Africa and stumbled apon my site by way of Whatalotoffun and Blairblogg. This is a picture of her at 17, some 20 years ago. She was a cheerleader in High School. This is her addition to our Tag. The second picture is of her on a recent "Cleavage Day". She was a good sport and responded to my mentioning liking Boobies. Go by and check her site out if you haven't already.

Ladies and Gentlemen... I give you

AKA, Arizona Country Girl (AZCG)
She said this is a photo from a few years back. She agreed to participate in the Tag and sent me this photo with the consent to post it. A friend took it of her in her late 20's or early 30's for college if I remember correctly. She is one of my favorite commenters and friends. And I must say pretty darn hot too.

17 years old, bright eyed and no clue. This is what I propose, anyone who sees this is tagged and invited to participate, post a picture of yourself on your blog of a time in your life when you were "bright eyed and clueless" to what lay ahead in your life. I would like to see High School photos or anything that you are comfortable with posting. I would very much like to see everyone that I regularly visit with do this, even those who normally don't get involved with Tags or Memes, (that's especially everyone mentioned on my side bar) Anyone who would like for me to post their photos on my post (AZCG) send them to (incase it does not show up, there is an "_" between ce and shoemake) anyone with any nude, (Not You Frank) partially nude, or any other sexy or amusing photos that they do not want posted please feel free to E-mail those to keeping in mind that I likes the Boobies! Please participate in this, I get a big kick out of knowing what my "E-Friends look like. And yes I know... What the Hell happened to me in just 24 years? Thanks and Have A Good Weekend.

Blogger Sucks Once Again...

I had a short post, something that involved a photo but Blogger would not let me upload it so the post was useless without it, I tried three times and it took forever before it just said, "This page could not be viewed" or whatever the Hell it said, you get the picture or maybe you didn't, was that a pun ? Anyway I'll give it a try later. It wasn't anything important anyway. Peace.

In 1986, Mkele Mbembe was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from college. On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing withone leg raised in the air.The elephant seemed distressed so Mbembe approached it very carefully. He got down on one knee and inspected the elephant's foot and found a large thorn deeply embedded in it. As carefully and as gently as he could, Mbembe worked the thorn out with his hunting knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man and with a rather stern look on its face, stared at him. For several tense moments Mbembe stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned and walked away. Mbembe never forgot that elephant or the events of that day.

Twenty years later he was walking through a zoo with his teenaged son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Mbembe and his son Tapu were standing. The large bull elephant stared at Mbembe and lifted its front foot off the ground, then put it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man. Remembering the encounter in 1986, Mbembe couldn't help wondering if this was the same elephant. Mbembe summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder. Suddenly the elephant trumpeted again, wrapped it's trunk around one of the man's legs and swung him wildly back and forth along the railing, killing him.

Probably wasn't the same elephant.

Ray Edward Shoemake
(7-15-31 to 4-7-88)

Today my Father would have been 75 years old. He was born on July 15th 1931 in Stillwell Oklahoma near his family’s home in Bowlegs. He was born to Lester Henry (Hap) and Mytra Taylor - Shoemake. His Mother died on Christmas Eve 1938 when he was 7 years old, he told me that he got a pair of shoes and a cap gun that year, with no caps. Because my Grandfather could not work and take care of two boys my Father and his younger brother Frank went to live with their Grandmother in Haskell Oklahoma. When he was 18 he and a cousin drove to Bakersfield California where they picked potatoes for one season and then returned home. He joined the National Guard and went to cooking school at Ft. Sam Houston in Texas, he was called up to active duty in the Army in 1952 and went to Korea where he attained the rank of Buck Sergeant. After Korea and the Army he married my Mother, Ella Rea Katherine Denton on December 28th 1953. He attended college at Conners State College in Warner Oklahoma, while my Mother went to Bacone College in Muskogee. He was going to be an Algebra Teacher but was offered a job installing carpet and at the time it paid more than a school teacher, so for the sake of his family he chose the one with more pay. My older Brother Larry Ray was born in 1954, my sister Mytra Faye was born in 1961, and I Charles Edward was born in 1964, my younger brother Gary Lee was born in 1968. In 1971 we moved from Muskogee to West Covina California and later settled in Upland where in 1972 my youngest Brother James Allen was born.. The whole reason for moving to California was for a better way of life but after 4 years of my Father working up to 7 days a week at times, we moved back to Oklahoma. To skip ahead some, in 1984 we found out my Mother had Leukemia and on April 17th of 1885 she died due to complications. I’m sure a part of my father died that day also. On May 22nd 1988, I got a call at work that something was wrong with my Father and I rushed home. My sister was there and told me that he had come home early from work with a bad headache, his boss was worried about him because he never took off sick, came to check on him and could not get him to answer the door. Apparently he had gone to sleep and fallen into a coma, they took him to the hospital where later he died, he never woke up. The doctors said it was most likely an aneurism but could not tell for sure without an autopsy, we declined to have one because it was of no use. My father was the hardest working man I ever knew, he gave 100% everyday in everything he did, it did not matter if anyone knew the effort he put out or not, he knew. He was an honest man and he loved my Mom dearly. All he ever did was work and take care of his family, if it weren’t for us kids he would have died the same day my Mom did. He was well liked by everyone who met him and he was my friend and hero. If there is any good in me at all is it is because of him. I believe he was around 8 years old in this picture, it was taken about 1939. Dad I love you and Mom, the world has not been near as good of a place without you, I only wish that Emily would have known you both. You would have been proud of her. I hope that you would have been proud of all of us.

I’ve Sure Been Lost Lately…

I’ve sat down and written quite a few posts lately but I always wind up deleting them after I reread them. They seem to always turn into whining and complaining about how life or at least how mine sucks. Taking meds, dieting, and sleeping seem to take up most of my day, Social Security denied my claim so that has grieved me immensely. Now I have to turn to a Lawyer and that means if I do get approved and get any money it will go towards legal fees. It really pisses me off because I’ve done nothing wrong, I’ve played by the rules and have done everything I can do and someone else is going to get to profit from my misfortune. If I get approved and get any back pay at all, shouldn’t it be mine? I’ve not changed or been more or less disabled, I’m the same with or without a lawyer. But I guess it’s just they way things are. Only now I may lose my house and have to move to God knows where before I do get any assistance. Will my daughter have to move in with her Mom? Will I have to get rid of my dogs? It’s enough to have me stick a gun in my mouth. Why bother if the only things I care for are taken from me. I don’t know that I am strong enough to handle it. Some of the meds that I am on make me sick, others make me dizzy, dieting and eating correctly sucks really bad, I’d friggin’ cut some body for some bacon right about now. My only vise now is coffee and once a day I mix half a pack of sugar free hot cocoa, a couple of packs of Splenda, and some fat free non-dairy French vanilla creamer with it and have myself a kind of white-trash cappuccino. Anyway the weekend is coming up and my daughter is with her mom and all I have to eat is some Healthy Choice microwave meals (maybe if I eat three of them at a time I‘ll be satisfied), some tuna, and some carrot sticks and bananas, so if I don’t eat a bullet by Monday it will be a huge miracle. Oh yeah, those bacon treats for dogs might smell great but they sure as Hell don’t taste like any bacon I ever ate before. Have a Good Day.
