What a beautiful bird! All the birds in my yard are brown, with a few exceptions. Where I grew up there were Blue jays, Cardinals, Robins, but where I am now they are all different shades of brown. I love bird watching, but it would be better if there were more colorful species.

azcg - there are bluejays, cardinals, and robins here, not so little as to be rare but just enough to still make you take notice when you see them, we are eat up with sparrows and blackbirds.

Do you know much about the sissortail bird? I have seen two in my backyard and at first thought it might be a roadrunner but googled it and found this blog.
