The Funk Is Fading Slowly...

102 degrees today, with Oklahoma humidity that's about 112, 115 anywhere else. My A/C took a dive last night and I start sweating at anything over 72. It was 82 at 3:00 am this morning. Em started school yesterday and she said the A/C does not work, all though the school was remodeled over the Summer and every room has a new flat screen TV and the cafeteria has 16 of them. She has a 25 minute lunch and it takes 10 to 15 minutes to get it and sit down so what the Hell is she gonna watch in 5 minutes? (she'll need 5 just to get back to class on time) People in education can make some real Dumb**s decisions. Anyway, last month my fridge died and the month before that my computer crashed and burned and I lost everything. Most of my life was on that computer (with no back up or anything saved) I lost addresses, numbers, a buttload of personal info, and about 2000 songs. And so far "VISTA" SUCKS ! I could barely fake my way through "XP" Now I have to figure out a whole new system, I'm too old for this C**P and besides, I think I'm in the early stages of Alzheimer’s, either that or I'm just a Dumb**s. Also with a new computer I finally decided to go High Speed with AT&T so now I have a new provider and a new e-mail system that half the time I can't even find becuse they wouldn't let me use the name or password I wanted so now my Blogger account and my Google account and everything else that I registered with my old e-mail and password is F**ked up and I don't have the brain power to change it all and then remember what the Hell I changed it to. Anyway, my original point was that it's been tough on someone with a fixed income, I don't know how I've stayed afloat so far but my new computer is 3 times better than my old one and my new fridge is big enough for a restaurant to use, so I guess that I'll just have to wait and see how the A/C turns out.

This Post was for AZCG, Babs, Xmichra, Shane, Wys, Hannalie, Chef, Kaliblue, Jo, and anyone else who may have been wondering about Chuck. I've been in a Funk and it's been hard to climb out of, and I'm not clear of it yet. Miss you all.

azcg - i've missed you, hope you and k are doing fine, i'm still working on my e-mail (actually i haven't even checked it, i've been trying to get some music back on my computer, i never realized what a huge part it played with my surfing and what-not. but i'm starting to get into it.

xmichra - great to hear from you, i'm starting to make friends with the beast that is "vista" i just hate changes but high speed is the "shit" i should have gotten it years ago, now it's cheaper than the dial up service i was using.

jerseytjej - yes, popsickles indeed! i got a new a/c unit and it's bigger and more cost efficient than the old one, and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. things seem to workout for some reason or the other, the temperature has dropped some and we got a whole day of rain (some counties around us flooded and 6 people died which is a shame but we needed the rain, mother nature has been rough this year.

I watched the news about all the rain Oklahoma was getting, scary when it comes to much to fast. We are trying to hit a new record for days of temps 110 degrees and over, still hotter than heck and humid to boot! Good to hear from you!

YES! It's so good to see you!! Oh golly - I feel for you losing all that stuff off your computer! That's awful. It's happened to me before (lost EVERYTHING during a crash). I knew it was getting ready to go, and I kept saying "you really need to back this sh** up" (yeah right - like I know how to make backup disks). pffffffft! I'm a computer idiot. I can't figure out how to get the printer hooked up and so I've been without one for two years. I have you BEAT on the Alzheimers hehehe!

I've been wondering how you've been fairing in the awful heat and flooding in Oklahoma (been on the news so much) - I was really worried about you in TWO regards, and so it's a double pleasure to know you're OK and around and haven't been flooded out or didn't have to suddenly take to the high ground.

Ahhh...there is nothing better than a new A/C that cranks out the turbo "for the dessert only" temps. And a new frig too! ssshh - I can't talk about frigs (mine is ... going on the blink :(.

While your state is flooding TERRIBLY, we are at an all time low on the water tables here in eastern NC (12 inches under NORM) and I can't get the boat in ANYWHERE locally (wouldn't want to in this heat) but October? I'm praying for a hurricane. That is what we need. We truly do!

Well... I could talk your head off. I'm so happy to see you! It's been so long since I've jawed with you, and jawing with you is as comfortable as if I'm jawing with my big brother! I better hit send before I lose connection gum flapping!:)

Oh - don't pay any attention to my angry sounding, crrrazy blog Lost at C. I had hesitated to put the url here because... well - I was wrapped up for a few months in some ...some ... some stuff - LOL - It's a lonnnnnng story HAHAHAHA! One day, maybe I'll get to tell you about my .. my uh... my undercover job LMAO! I'll say this much about it - it was the damnedest (and wound up being one of the funniest) trips I've EVER been on! It was the only reason your blog was not featured on my sidebar. Now that the seas have calmed down and the "bitching bloggers from HELL"(as we were sometimes referred to) accomplished what we set out to do without going to jail, I swear - I'm going to do a C for CHUCK pretty soon!!

Big BIG hugs to you! I'm so glad you're OK and that you're back!

Hi Sweetheart, so good to hear you're ok. AZCG let me know you were back. I've been away for a week so I'm just now catching up.
I was worried about ya and emailed and all to no avail. Email me;

barbwiremre@optonline.net

We'll get some programs on your PC to keep it from crashing. I'm in the middle of cracking a code for a really good program for my son Lee and as soon as I figure it out, I'll walk you through install. We can do it over the phone or something. I crashed my computer twice before I realized I had to do maintenance on it and run spyware scans and the fact that it was mucho important.

So glad you're ok, sweetie. Know that you are loved.
