FYI
CARJACKERS ARE GETTING SMARTER
(THIS IS NOT A JOKE)
You walk across the parking lot, unlock your car and get inside. You start the engine and shift into Reverse, and when you look into the rearview mirror to back out of your parking space, you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window. So, you shift back into Park, unlock your doors and jump out of your car to remove that piece of paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view. When you reach the back of your car, THAT is when the carjacker appears out of nowhere, jumps into your car and takes off. He practically mows you down as he speeds off in your car. And guess what, ladies? I bet your purse is still in the car, and if he finds your home address in your belongings and he already has your keys, your home is now compromised!
So If you see a piece of paper stuck to your back window, just drive away, remove the paper later and be thankful that you read this.
Please pass this information along, especially to women. Thank you.

bugger, we don't get much of that here but it does happen occasionally. pass it on i will.
GAH... that sucks! I will have to post this tomorrow.
I walk around like I'm some crazy ass woman. If someone including granny walks to close behind I'll stop and tell them to go on ahead. I carry a heavy keychain in a locked knuckle position at all times. If there is a piece of paper on my car. Well if it makes it home with me, then I'll read it:-).
It's been a long time ago but I've been car jacked twice (we didn't even call it "Car Jacking" back then), both times by gunpoint and they made me drive, the first time we got stopped by a train and the guy just jumped out and ran, the second time the guy was covered in blood and made me take him to a bar, he told me that i was going in with him because he had to settle a score (apparently he got his ass beat earlier and went home to get his gun) when we stopped at the bar he opened his door first and i shoved him as hard as i could and punched the gas, he fell out and rolled as i got the Hell out of there, but of course now i don't frequent the kind of places where that will happen anymore.
well that's a good start Chuck (not going to places that would happen) but wow. i have never been car jacked *knocks on wood*.
I guess this was a hoax e-mail .. but it is better to be safe than sorry..
Good job, sweety!
interesting stuff Chuck, it's hard to stay a step ahead of the criminals.
dude, have u tried diamaxol to get on top of ur diabetes?
xmichra - i thought that if the wrong type of person saw this it might give them the idea to try it, you can learn a lot of bad scams just from watching the news here in the states. i heard from frank today and BTW, how's the kittens doing?
babs - good to see ya stop by, i'm at your place all the time i just don't always leave comments, take care.
whozfan - hey sports fan, ya seen any good ballgames lately?
shane - diamaxol? haven't heard of it, i take metformin, insulin aspart, and insulin glargine and it's doing pretty well so far, my meds seem to work better now that i've lost a few pounds and have gotten the fluids off, i get my meds from the indian hospital and they don't carry everything, i'll check on it anyway on my next visit, thanks for the heads up on it.
try and google the name and read some of the reviews. interesting. i haven't tried it but i am thinking of it.
It's must be a very scary experience. Part reason from immigrating away from South africa is to get away from Crime and Violence. There you don't dare drive with out locking all your doors and still it's not enough, if they want your car, handbag or stereo they'll smash the window. It's commonly known that if you are on a quiet road and get a red light at an intersection, you slow down and go through, No stopping. I read lately that if car's break down, they're busted. Baddies lie around in the bushes waiting.
Thanks for warning us all.
hey hannelie - some people say it's a hoax but it sounds like it would work to me, can't be too careful, it only takes one time. be safe and take care.
