Wasn't the Batfish a sub? How the hell do you get a sub on display inland?

I remember that song by Merl Haggart, "Okie from Muskogee"

Frank - yes you are correct, a submarine that served in WW-II if i remember, i haven't been to it since the 6th grade on a field trip, I've often wondered about that myself, the port of muskogee is the farthest port north accessible from the port of mexico and that's where it's at, i guess that you would say it's dry docked though. i may have to look it up and make sure that it was WW-II. Take care.

I heard that in Muskogee, white lightnin's still the biggest thrill of all.

nyasha - the eastern part of oklahoma is greener than the rest, espcially the north east, it's known as green country, it might not be the greenest place around but there is more types of green here than most places, that picture was taken about a half mile from my house at the honor heights park, now parts of the west and more north west are dryer and even refered to as the badlands (the panhandle) but we have a lot of lakes and rivers around this part, and we are on the east end of the ozark mountains.

JT - i think merle haggard must have been smoking a little weed when he wrote that, i think it was in 68' or 69'. i was trying to remember the words while i was poating this.

frank - be safe, have fun, and stay away from the "box o' wine"

butchdingo - it figures that a music connoisseur such as yourself would use a merle reference, and yes i wish i had some white lightnin right now.
