Glenn Ford was a great guy. Sorry to hear he died. Jimmy Stuart, The Duke, Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, seems like all the really great ones are gone.
frank - sometimes i think anyone who was worth anything is gone.
did i ever tell you that my favorite uncle's name was frank ? he's gone now too, some where along the line my generation became the older one.
don't know of those guys (not my genre) but i like the statement.
It's always a hard loss to see your icons leave the world. I fell for you Chuck.
Dang - I didn't know he died. He was a great one, indeed.
i didn't even know he was still around, it had been a long time since i had heard anything about him, pretty good guy for a Canadian, he was a US Marine during WW-II, a lot of the good old actors were in the service back then.
i had to add the Canadian part for Xmichra.
When I watch old westerns I always say "he's gone", "he died a while back", "he died to soon", "all the guys on the screen are dead now." I guess the good thing is that they are all captured on film and we can still watch them. What's really scary is that I watched their movies for the first time when I was 7 and I still enjoy their movies at 57.

AZCG - i still don't think that you're 57, i'll be 42 in 2 weeks. i was lucky enough to watch these old movies with my dad when i was pretty young, i went with my whole family to the drive-in in 1969 and saw "True Grit" and i was hooked on westerns every since.
What are you doing up? I thought I was the only night owl around!

Oh I forgot! You don't believe I'm 57 -- hell, I don't believe I'm 57! And K just turned 60! I'm livin' with an old fart -- Geez how did this happen in such a short time?
AZCG
Thanks Chuck =P
I had no idea. Everyone said that my Dad reminded them of Glenn Ford. He did look like he could be his brother. Where'd all the real cowboys go?
You've been tagged. When you have time, come over and see. I want to know more about you! (HUGZ)
But what a legacy to leave behind...movies that generations long after you can enjoy! That is more than most people leave their own families, these days! People will always know of you. Hell of a tribute if you ask me...
chuck, you didn't even notice what xmichra wrote and this is a true tribute Sweetheart;
"It's always a hard loss to see your icons leave the world. I fell for you Chuck."
azcg - you're only as old as you feel... that's makes me older than you.
xmichra - welcome
gina - thanks for stopping by and commenting, hope to see you again sometime.
babs - somebody is gonna have to slap me cause i just don't get it.
Sweetheart, she's implying that you are Great in her life. You are a wonderful, caring and feeling man. No greater compliment could possibly be handed to you. Love Ya Snookums!
