Rain…

Its been raining for two days, we were supposed to be in a draught but I guess maybe that’s over now. I had Mexican food for lunch yesterday and then I had meatballs for dinner. I think I have heart burn, I’m not sure because I don’t think that I’ve ever had it before. Every few seconds I feel a pressure in my chest rising up to my throat, followed by a small insignificant burp and then in a few more seconds it repeats. Is this what they mean when people say, “That burrito’s repeating on me"? Well I don’t care much for it, I’ve taken a couple of Maalox tablets but it doesn’t seem to be helping. I’m also suffering from a case of the windies (farts) and loose shit. I’ve been up all night because my stomach is doing hoolla hoops around my cornhole and I’m scared that if I lay down for a moment, I might shit myself before I can get my fat ass up and to the crapper. So I’m sleepy as Hell and I can’t stop yawning which is adding to the misery of it all. So I’m just setting here listening to the raindrops hitting the air conditioner and feeling like crap. I hope everyone else has a good day. Peace.

Hey Chuck
I thought you may have been warned by the post with the Curry tester !! Them Mexican foods and meatballs can surely f*ck up your day if they go bad ! You can end up Sh8tting through the eye of a needle at ten paces !! And dont trust the farts either :-) Haha !!
I hope it all gets sorted soon....

nope, not heartburn. That's indigestion. Heartburn .. you will KNOW when you have it. Almost feels like fire in your throat... like this acid is in your esophagus and eating away at your stomach. You can't lie down, you can't sit up.. you breath through your nose only to find that the fire gets stronger.

It's painful, and a real bitch.

Malox probably isn't helping since it will try to flush your system. Pepto may have been better. Still, let those burps go since that is your stomach refusing to digest harmful things.

Listen to the rain fall, maybe it will bring you some relaxation.

Welcome to my world! What you describe is what I would describe as heartburn (especially the pressure on your chest. I also get a tightness in my throat makes it hard to swallow). I get it if I eat to much Mexican food of the spicy variety (hot is okay, but spicy will kill) and if I eat a lot of any meat, but especially red meat. If you have a Costco near you, they sell Famotidine which works wonders, it is their store brand "Members Mark" version of Zantac, Pepcid, or Prilosec, but a lot less expensive. The bottle says "relieves and prevents heartburn due to acid indigestion." You're on you own with the farts and liquid crappola, but I think its your diet. I'm haven't had heartburn or any intestinal problems since I started watching what I eat (very little meat and Mexican) lots of veges, fruit, and oatmeal. :o( It's your body saying "no mass."

Take care, no more meat doobies!

I hope you feel better. Nothing worse than all of that AND the Green Apple Quickstep, huh?

bosbefok - yes indeed, Curry is the spice of the Devil, ever since i turned 40 i try not to fart unless i'm setting on the crapper, it's just risky business!

xmichra - you would think the way i've eaten my whole life that i would have more experience with such things but i can usually eat a beer can covered in hot sauce and be ok, my sister said it sounded like acid reflux but i haven't been getting any real burning in my throat, i usually have pepto on hand but i'm out at the moment, thanks and i've enjoyed listening to the rain, it's been a while since we've had a good soaking.

azcg - nope, no costco around here, and this is getting old, i didn't eat all day and then i had some excelent chicken soup that Em made (I was starving) and that wasn't a good idea, one of my meds that i take for neuropathy interacts with antacids so i have to be carefull, i hope you're doing better.

babs - the funny thing is i eat at least one apple everyday and the one i had last night was a little green... oops! gotta run!

Di - i think you may be on to something there, i've been eating better for a while and when i stray away from my diet (usually on weekends) my body doesn't seem to like it the way it use to. i'm non too fond of oatmeal unless it's in a cookie, thanks anyway, it's been going on over 24 hours now, something's got to give. xoxo

I know that Chicken noodle soup is suppose to be a good thing... but if you have heart burn NO WAY!! bad idea. The 'fat' that is in the soup (chicken drippings, whatever) will make you wish you were dead. Seriously, even if you can't stomach it.. try soda crackers and milk (at least 2%) if it is heartburn. The milk sometimes doesn't work with some people.. but the soda crackers will absorb the acid and pass through your system.

Trust me on that, i do it all the time from reflux.

spidey - i'd laugh but i'm afraid that i'd CRAP myself... not really i'm much better now, but i'm touched by your genuine showing of concern.

xmichra - chicken soup... all though quite tasty, not a good move! so i'm guessing the left over burrito was a stupid idea also. i'm gonna be on crackers and milk (2%) for days. thanks.
