Hinder and Three Dog Night

Emily got to go see "Hinder" last Thursday at the Muskogee Expo Center with my sister Mytra. "Three Dog Night" along with some others were inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. "Hinder" being an Oklahoma band was recognized and played a few songs before the legendary Rock Band came out on stage. Emily got some pretty good photos and she had a great time. Now she is hooked on live concerts. She is really looking forward to seeing more bands play live.

Lead singer reminds me of a young Steven Tyler, very sexy voice and not bad to look at either, and I love the song, reminds me of wicked road trips of my youth!

Went to YouTube to listen to Steppenwolf's original, I like Hinder's version better more rock-in-roll and intense. It's not often I like the remake better than the original.

Which reminds me... I was driving in my Mustang convertible in the high desert listening to Born To Be Wild and something caught my eye, it was a young slender Indian guy with long black hair, wearing Levi's and boots, bare chested, riding a paint horse at a full run along the highway. It was one of those once in a lifetime moments that gets burned into your memory. It was a flashback to the old west, I would have jumped that guy bones, but he disappeared into the desert going full tilt. I'll never forget that image, it was a wonder to behold!

i kind of like hinders version too, i have both bands versions and i think hinders video sounds better than the cd does. i know what you mean about seeing the dude on the horse. the moment was probably perfect the way it was, if you had gotten the chance to jump his bones it wouldn't have been as good a memory. not to change the subject but my dog has some serious gas issues at the moment, i think emily slipped him a burrito last night before bed and now it's repeating on him, the little bugger better not s**t in the floor!

My girlfriend once gave one of her dogs a ham hock to chew on and the end result was a very gassy dog with diarrhea. Unfortunately for my friend, her dog must have had a terrible stomach ache and she took cover in her closet and proceeded to crap all over every pair of shoes in the closet. She said the smell was horrific and she just threw everything away, but she had to clean the carpet in the closet! Here’s hoping your dog only has gas! Tell Emily no more Mexican food for the pooch!

I adopted a stray cat once, and one morning I was frying potatoes and the cat was standing in the kitchen meowing and meowing to beat the band, I opened a can of cat food and he wouldn’t touch it, he just stood by my feet and kept meowing at the top of his lungs. I finally got a plate and filled it with fried potatoes and gave it to him, he loved it and then I figured he was a Mexican cat, probably raised on leftovers from the table. He also loved eggs and beans, but his tummy never got upset with people food, but his litter box visits would knock you off you feet!

my dogs regular diet is kibbles and chunks dry dog food, it's out for them all of the time, then one day they get a package of hot dogs and the next day a can of alpo. this along with whatever we eat also such as chili, burritos, any kind of meat fixed any kind a ways. mac & cheese, eggs, beans, cheese, and tortilla chips, cookies, and doughnuts, you name it they eat it and only have upset stomachs very seldom. they love breath mints, peppermints, and cheese puffs. one of the dogs is skinny and looks like it needs fed and the othe one is nice and healthy looking, thick but not fat. my sister's dog get's no people food and gets science diet from the vet along with stomach pills and that dog is sick and whiney everyday.

I love live rock music. I must admit I prefer Steppenwolf for born to be wild. I guess it might make a difference when one was there for the start. Am about to go see Steely Dan when they tour NZ. Looking forward to that.
