Interesting list!

I loved Westerns as a child. Grew up reading Louis L'Amour...

My family; my daughters, extended family, friends, horses, and dogs are all important to me.

Congratulations on your blogging anniversary !

Yo Chuck! Whatever you added to your blog last is slowing down everything for me. It takes forever to get your comment box to come up and I can’t type in the comment box because I type a letter and have to wait 3-4 seconds before the letter I typed appears on the screen. I had to type my “3 Things” comment in Microsoft Word and then I cut and paste it in your comment box. I’m not complaining mind you, but I thought I’d let you know, I think it’s the Web Counter because that’s the last thing you added and that’s when I started having trouble. I was wondering if it’s just me or is everyone having problems typing in you comment box?

azcg - i've been having problems all over. everywhere i go it takes me forever to leave a comment. a lot of the times i wind up just skipping it and going on to something else. i'll remove the web counter tomorrow and we'll see how that helps. thanks.

March 06, 2007 2:10 AM
Blogger Chuck said...

azcg - i moved it down some, see if that makes a difference if it doesn't i'll remove it all together. actually it wasn't installed correctly anyway. i'll yack at ya later.

I don't think it's that but the video's will slow down the age considerably. This new template takes a minute to load by itself, just as mine does but then you add a start play video and it seems to freak it out. Then, the flip side is the variables on blogger screw things up too. Your counter should not make too significant a difference, ya know. NeoCounter will, if that's the one you're talking about? It has marquee HTML and graphics and stats so of course that could do it.
BTW, I love Velvet Revolver too.

Good Morning! Well it all works faster this morning! Maybe it was just my ISP causing the problem because I'm typing in your comment box now and everything seems to be working. I kept track of how long it took to access your comment box when I was here last (49, 34, 30 seconds) maybe I'm just impatient. I don't have any problem accessing your blog all the graphs only slowed it down a couple of seconds. its the slow reaction time of comment box and the inability to type when I get there that is so frustrating.

chef wb - there should be a list for my "10" most favorite foods, it's impossible to really narrow it down to just three, here goes:

1. fried chicken
2. shrimp
3. steak
4. fish
5. mexican
6. chinese
7. italian
8. bbq
9. pork (bacon, sausage, ham, ribs)
10. eggs (of any kind)

i could probably add another 5 ot 10, venison, rabbit, pie, gravy, potatoes, all kinds of bread, and so on and so on. you get the picture.
take care buddy.

Do you do maintenance on it? I mean, I can help you set up a program (for free) that'll speed up what you've got. Let me know and I'll email you the whole shabang. BTW, for me shabang is the word of the day. Have a great day!

"i have the dirtiest house in oklahoma. (i have enough dog hair to build three more dogs)" Oooooh fuck that's funny!

BABS - my grandpa used words like "shabang, shabow, and shitteree". "shabang and shitteree" always followed the words "the whole". and shabow just meant "butt". i miss him, he was quite a character.
